The United Methodist Church has presented a calling for believers to nurture and to teach people of all ages about the love of Jesus. Following in the tradition of the founder of the Methodist Church, John Wesley, we believe that the church has important responsibilities in initiating, encouraging and participating in the highest quality of childcare for children and families. Therefore, we resolve to see childcare as a planned ministry, uphold the quality of childcare in the Church and be advocates for quality childcare. Our school will be supported and staffed as a ministry of the Fairview United Methodist Church. Our new Preschool is slated to open in September of 2019!
We will have separate classrooms for 3, 4, and 5 year-olds. (The pre-K class will also accept 6-year old children who are too young to register for Kindergarten) . Class sizes will be small (16 maximum in the 3 and 4 year old rooms and 20 maximum in the pre-K classroom). Our intention is to give each child as much one-on-one time as possible during this important time of development in their life. Our education focus will be Kindergarten readiness/skills development, as well as art, music, cooking, health/gym and social skills. Our curriculum is Christian-based and will teach students how to treat one another with love and respect. Teachers will all hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree, with some holding advanced degrees.
Our Education Wing will be undergoing a complete overhaul in the next year with fresh paint and flooring, new furnishings, teaching manipulatives and learning toys for every age level. The pictures that follow are design ideas that we are considering for our new school! Updated pictures will be posted as improvements have been completed.
Our preschool classes will be held in the mornings, M-W-F, T-TH, or a full 5-day program. Classrooms will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for one of our classes for the 2019-20 school year, please complete the form below.
