About our Faith
We are a part of the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church. FUMC is one of four churches in the West County charge.
Statement of Purpose: The Fairview United Methodist Church exists for the purpose of fulfilling the vision of Christ as stated in the Great Commission.
We are under divine obligation to: Make disciples, baptize believers, and teach them the word of God.
We exist to: Enlighten every human being in the Biblical joys and promises of eternal salvation. We exist to provide, maintain, and strengthen our fellowship of Christian love and concern; thus affording our membership and community a climate where their faith in Christ can grow.
We believe: In God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We stand squarely on the Bible for our doctrine and beliefs. Preaching must be biblical and apply to everyday life. At the heart of the gospel is the command to "go into the world and make disciples." Life is a pilgrimage toward the special reason for which we were created: to glorify God and enjoy Him forever!
